Here’s a great way to help the homeless, enjoy community spirit and have fun with the family this Sunday! Georgetown Ministry Center works tirelessly to help the homeless of Georgetown and have three big, exciting events coming up this fall, starting with the Fannie Mae Mini-Walk that isn’t really a walk at all!
Come have a wonderful Sunday in the beautiful garden at Grace Church with your friends and neighbors in an event that will help Georgetown Ministry Center reach its goal of 350 participants. Enjoy moon bouncing, along with tug of war and other games all for the homeless of Georgetown. Plus, feast on goodies from Starbucks, Whole Foods, and Georgetown Cupcake!
Join hundreds of Georgetowners in the 2nd annual Help the Homeless Mini-Walk at Grace Church this Sunday between 11am and 3:30pm. There will be lots of fun things to do, people to see and food to eat. Bring the whole family.
Donations of $20 for youth 25 and under and $30 for youth over 25 would be appreciated. Each paying walker counts toward our walker goal which in turn will leverage a significant cash award from Fannie Mae. All paying walkers will receive a tee shirt memento.
To register for this event, simply fill out this form online , print it out and bring it with you to the walk on September 25th at Grace Church or register online here and just show up, or just show up and fill out your form on the day of the event. We will have plenty. If you have any questions call (202) 338-8301.
Keep your eyes open for news about The Spirit of Georgetown on October 13 and The Taste of Georgetown on October 15, with all proceeds going to the homeless of Georgetown. See you there!
